The CROT4D legend said Hanura loved games — dice, cards, riddles, anything involving chance and wit. Travelers who passed through the jungle long ago would leave offerings of coins and gold at the statue’s feet, hoping for luck on their journeys.

One night, according to the story, a wealthy merchant mocked the ritual.

“If your CROT4D monkey god loves gambling so much,” the merchant laughed, tossing dice at the statue, “let him play with me.”

The CROT4D dice landed.

Snake eyes.
The merchant laughed again.
Then the jungle wind suddenly stopped.
The torches went out.
